It’s always difficult finding new ways to improve your skincare. I for one have stuck to the basics for a while: toner, sheet mask, essence, emulsion, and cream. However, my friend introduced me to ampoules, and now I just can’t go without one! I actually use multiple at a time now. The Labiotte Mineral Therapy Firming Ampoule was the first ampoule I had ever used, and I liked it a lot.
The Labiotte Mineral Therapy Firming Ampoule was very easy to apply. Just twist off the cap and push the button on the top to release the ampoule from the dropper. The amount that is released from the dropper is the perfect amount and because of the consistency of the ampoule, it’s easy to control how much of it you want to apply to your face. After applying the amount of ampoule you want, you can spread it around your face by gently tapping it into your skin in a circular motion.
The packaging of this ampoule is so cool! It’s really unique, and I think I’ve only seen ampoule and serums droppers like this in Korea. You don’t have to push down and release the button at the top to get more ampoule into the dropper. You can just twist the cap back on and once the cap “clicks” shut, the ampoule is sucked up into the dropper! Also, if you want more ampoule, you can still press down and release the button like regular droppers. The only issue is that the dropper doesn’t extend all the way to the bottom of the bottle. So, to get all the ampoule out, you have to have put the bottle upside down for a while and wait for it all to come down.
I don’t think this ampoule was that moisturizing, however, I know there was some because moisture is important when firming up skin. Also, I could tell there was some moisture in the ampoule because my skin looked healthier and felt bouncy to the touch.
What was nice about the Labiotte Mineral Therapy Firming Ampoule is that there really wasn’t a scent. I actually can’t even describe the scent even if I tried. It just wasn’t memorable at all. Some people would like that in a product. I know I did because a mixture of scents can end up giving me a headache. However, if you like heavy scented things, this ampoule might be disappointing to you in that area.
Since this ampoule is for firming, I thought I’d add this category while writing about this product. Did it really firm up my skin? It did, but not that much. However, I’m well aware that there aren’t really any “miracle products” that’ll firm up skin. Nonetheless, it did help my skin look smoother, and the skin on my cheeks looked healthier and smoother.
I didn’t like the feeling of this ampoule. It was quite sticky feeling and it didn’t feel like it was getting down into my skin that much. Thankfully when I put another product on top of it, the stickiness would subside. The only plus is that it wasn’t oily like most firming and anti-aging skincare products.
Final Thoughts & Recommendation:
The Labiotte Mineral Therapy Firming Ampoule would be great for those who are looking for something to help firm up their skin without using oily anti-aging products. Overall, I give this an 8/10. Would I buy this product again? It’s definitely a possibility, however, at this point I’d like to explore different types of ampoules since it’s still a new area in skincare for me. If you have any recommendations, please let me know!
