I’m a sucker for cute packaging, so I was so excited to see that TonyMoly has a new line of pore products with a cute little character named TAKO. I’m not sure if it’s a squid or an octopus…let’s just go with octopus. This pore nose pack is a bit unusual to other Korean pore packs since it’s just one step. Typically nose pore packs are three steps these days, so I thought I’d check this out.
The Tako Pore One Shot Nose Pack was super easy to apply. Since it’s just a one step pore pack, all you have to do is remove the pore strip from the clear film and apply it to your dampened skin. Make sure to NOT get the pore pack on your eyebrows! I’ll explain more about that in the “Blackhead Removal” section of this review.
The packaging is super cute!!! Who doesn’t love a cute little characters? There are also directions and an ingredients list in Korean and English.
The Tako Pore One Shot Nose Pack felt fine for the most part. Like other pore packs, the mask hardens when it’s ready to be removed, but it did feel a little tight. Also, removing the mask was a bit painful. Usually nose pore strips are a little painful, but this is just a tad bit more than others I’ve tried.
Blackhead Removal: 0/10
I couldn’t even take a good photo of the blackheads for a variety of reasons. First, there were just three blackheads I could see on the mask. It was highly disappointing. Second, since the mask is white it was quite difficult to even see blackheads on the mask. However, I would give this an 8/10 for hair removal because some of my hair was pulled off! That’s why you need to be really careful placing the mask because if you place it too close to your eyebrows…they’ll probably be taken off or partially taken off!
Final Thoughts & Recommendation:
This was not a great product. There are plenty of other nose pore strips out there. I think the three step system is much better. I have about two more of these nose pore strips because I bought them on sale. I’ll still use them and see if anything else changes, but I’ll never buy them again. Overall, I give this a 4/10. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.
