Innisfree has a new line of beauty masks called My Real Pet Mask. Innisfree created this line as a special Lunar New Year promotion. It’s only being sold in stores or on the Innisfree Korean website. I’m not sure how long they’ll be out, so you better act fast and get them if you want one!
- After cleansing, use toner to smooth out your skins texture
- Unfold and place the mask on the face, avoiding your eyes and mouth
- Leave the mask on for 10-20 mintues
- After throwing out the mask, gently pat the left over essence into your skin for further absorption
The mask had many slits, two near the cheeks and under the chin, so it fit well. However, it didn’t fit quite as well as the Husky mask. I found that odd since they’re made from the same company and are from the same line. Perhaps I had a bad mask…
Just like any other sheet mask package, you just rip off the top to get the mask out. There are directions in both Korean and English. Also, compared to the husky mask, there was no slippage this time! It stuck to my face well, so the amount of essence in the packet was at a normal amount. However, like I mentioned before, the mask itself was odd and didn’t fit well. That was a big bummer.
견종: 퍼그 (Kind: Pug)
나이: 1세 (Age: 1 year old)
성별: 남 (Sex: Male)
특징: 태어나자마자 노안 이라는 소리를 자주 들음 . (Character: As soon as he was he was born, he often heard he had an old face.)
고민: 주름&늘어진피부 (Worries: Wrinkle & hanging skin)
Compared to other firming masks I’ve used, this wasn’t that moisturizing. It was a bit surprising too since most firming masks tend to give a lot of moisture to the skin. I think the consistency of the essence was off. It was too think in my opinion, and it didn’t really absorb into my skin well.
The smell of the essence was a little odd for me. It’s difficult to explain. It was a bit chemically mixed with mothballs hahaha. Not that lovely of a smell. However, it drifted away as I was wearing the mask.
The essence here is less absorbent, so it had an odd feeling. Not sticky necessarily, but it felt like there was a thin film on my face. If you look at the picture below (Yes, I’m trying very hard to be cute…), you can see that my face is pretty shiny. I think the essence, even after patting it down, just kind of sat on top of my skin.
Final Thoughts & Recommendation:
Once again, the fact that pugs have notoriously wrinkly skin and that this mask is for firming makes perfect sense! I’m so in awe of Innisfree’s cleverness! Would I buy this mask again? No, but maybe someone else would like it. Overall, I give it a 6/10.
Once again, you can only buy it at an Innisfree shop or on their Korean site. Stay tuned for more reviews of the other My Real Pet Masks!
