Living outside of Seoul is great! It’s usually less busy and people tend to be friendlier. However, finding good western food can be difficult. Even if you do find it, it’s usually expensive and changed to please the Korean palate. Fear not! I found an oasis in Songdo, Incheon called Songdo City Bar & Restaurant that offers some great eats. It serves what I would like to call “sports bar” food like burgers, wraps, pizza, wings, and a variety of appetizers.
It’s very close to Songdo Central Park. The closest subway station to it is Incheon University Station.

How to Get There:
- Subway: Get off at Incheon University Station located on Incheon Line 1. Go out of exit 4 and walk straight for about 12-15 minutes. There are two crosswalks with traffic lights that you’ll go through, but in total about three crosswalks you’ll walk over.
- Bus: The closest stop that I know of is Songdo The Sharp First World B-dong, C-dong, and it’s across from Prugio Worldmark 8. After getting off the bus there, walk to the closest cross walk (it should be on your left if you have your back to the street) to cross the street. Once you’re across, you should turn left and Prugio Worldmark 8 should be on your right.
I think the easiest way to get there is via subway since all you have to do is walk in a straight line from the exit. There is a giant pirate ship statute in front of the building, so keep an eye out for that. Remember, Songdo City Bar & Restaurant is on the 2nd floor so don’t forget to look up at the buildings when going for the first time! There are stairs you can take up to the 2nd floor, but there are also elevatorelevators available.
Songdo City Bar & Restaurant has a lovely terrace, so you can enjoy some delicious food while soaking up the sun and getting some fresh air. As you can see from the pictures below, one whole wall of the restaurant opens up so you can have a nice view of outside even while sitting indoors. The music playing while I visited was mainly rock (example: Nirvana and Queen) with some pop thrown in, so it was quite enjoyable. It was nice to have a break from K-pop.
I attempted to take nice photos of the menu, but alas…my camera is a potato. If you want to see the menu in better quality, check out Songdo City Bar & Restaurant‘s menu on their Facebook. From my images, the only thing missing are three pages of cocktails. Oh yes, three pages of cocktails!
The chef is Canadian, and from the food my friends and I had, he tries to keep it as authentically western as possible. I had a Chicken Caesar Wrap, which was heavenly! It was so tasty! I really missed good Caesar dressing. One of my friends got the same as me, but my other friend got the BBQ Pulled Pork Wrap. That was also delicious with lots of cheese inside. We got the Garlic Parmesan Fries and Onion Rings to share. It was a lot of food, but totally worth it! NO REGRETS!
Final Thoughts & Recommendations:
I give Songdo City Bar & Restaurant a 9/10. The food is tasty, well priced, and the service is great. Our server was kind and he checked on us often. My only criticism is that the burgers and wraps don’t come with fries. You have to order them separately unless you order during the time of the lunch specials during the weekdays. Maybe it’s just me and my spoiled American self, but usually fries come with burgers and wraps automatically. Nonetheless, this restaurant is great and I highly recommend going if you’re in the Songdo area or craving some sports bar type food!
