There are so many K-Beauty brands popping up on my instagram these days. Some are new while others have been around for a while, but only recently picking up momentum in K-Beauty markets. These days 16Brand has really caught my eye. I saw an ad of theirs on instagram about their Sixteen Brand Eye Magazine, and I was so amazed by its unique applicator! I’ll be doing a review of that product a little later, but I just wanted to share with you all a little bit about this company.
What is 16Brand?
16Brand seems to be targeted towards younger makeup users (teens to early 30s). The packaging within this collection is fun and cute. A lot of the makeup I’ve seen from this collection is neutral in color, but very glittery and shiny. 16Brand also has some unique items like their Sixteen Brand Eye Magazine that includes two eye shadow colors with one brush for quick application. They also have a beautiful rainbow eye shadow palette.
Down below are some photos of a special package deal of 16Brand‘s R U 16 Taste Chu & Sixteen Brand Eye Magazine. The kit I got is labeled as “16Brand’s Preppy Brown Make-up,” and is promoted by beauty guru and vlogger, Double Soup.
Where Do They Ship?
According to their English delivery website, Chosungah Beauty ships to the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand, and the Philippines. To find out more about shipping, refunds, exchanges, and other delivery information check out their delivery site here.
Can I find Their Products In Stores?
Currently there is only one Chosungah Beauty store and it’s in Myeongdong in Seoul, South Korea. It opened not too long ago, and I only found it because I was walking around one day and happened to stumble upon it. Here is a map from their website…sorry it’s a potato of a photo…
Do They Do Animal Testing?
To be honest, I’m not quite sure. I shot the company an e-mail asking about this, but I have yet to get a response. However, according to Ethical Bunny (a cruelty free brand directory site), 16Brand is considered “Pending.” This is probably because this collection is so new and the company is still emerging on the K-Beauty scene, so not much research has been done to find out about it. Also, the company itself hasn’t stated anything about their products being animal tested or not, so that is something to consider before you invest in any of the 16Brand products.
I like the overall theme of cute, edgy, fun makeup that 16Brand embodies. There are still a few items that I really want to try out. I think this collection and company in general is one that has a lot of potential of doing well in the K-Beauty world. Since there is only one actual shop, it is best to check out 16Brand on their instagram or on Chosung Beauty‘s website (English, Chinese, Korean) to find out more about this collection and brand.
